One Pot Pasta Recipes: easy & tasty dishes

You are hungry, your stomach is growling so loud that learning is totally out of question, but you do not have the time or the energy to start cooking an elaborate meal? One Pot recipes are perfect for those who are limited in space, budget and don’t feel like doing the dishes afterwards.

One pot dishes can be prepared in just one pot. In some recipes, you can simply throw all the ingredients together and wait for them to cook, some recipes require a little bit more time. But they all have one thing in common: they are super easy and quick to prepare. Perfect for every student kitchen!

Tips for preparation

  • Stick to the recipe: Especially when it comes to the amount of water, cream or tomato sauce! If you use too little liquid, your noodles will not get cooked all the way through and if you use too much liquid, your noodles will get soggy and your dish will taste more like a soup than you might like.
  • Get creative: Can’t see pasta anymore or just want to try a healthier alternative? No problem! You can prepare all one pot dishes that we present to you today with rice, quinoa or other pasta alternatives too!
  • Use what you already have: One Pot dishes are the perfect meal to use up any leftover vegetables or other leftover food. Not only is this good for the environment because it means you don’t have to throw away food, but it’s also good for your wallet. Today we introduce you to our 9 favorite one pot pasta dishes:

1. The classic

Noodles with tomato sauce, taste great and even people who can’t cook are able to prepare this dish!
Ingredients:

  • 250g pasta
  • ½ onion
  • garlic
  • ½ can tomato sauce
  • ½ l vegetable soup
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • oregano

Preparation: Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Then mix all the ingredients in a large saucepan and let simmer until the pasta is al dente. Done!

2. TikTok pasta

Not a TikTok trend for nothing. Super tasty and really really easy!
Ingredients:

  • 250g Fusilli
  • 1l vegetable soup
  • 1 pack of feta
  • 100g cherry tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation: Put the pasta, vegetable soup, tomatoes, olive oil and spices in a saucepan and cook until the pasta is cooked through. Add the feta, let simmer for 2-3 minutes and enjoy.

3. Pad Thai

This recipe brings summer vacation right into your student kitchen, enjoyment guaranteed!
Ingredients:

  • 400g tagliatelle
  • 1l vegetable soup
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 carrots
  • 4 spring onions
  • coriander
  • chili
  • garlic
  • soy sauce
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation: Finely chop the garlic, then cut carrots and spring onions into small pieces and the paprika into narrow strips. Put all ingredients except the coriander in a large saucepan and let simmer until the noodles are ready. Top with coriander and serve. So delicious.

4. Salmon & Spinach

Healthy, high in protein and very yummy – with this salmon and spinach one pot pasta you will even impress your parents.
Ingredients:

  • 250g tagliatelle
  • 150g baby spinach
  • 1 onion
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • 100ml white wine
  • 100ml cream
  • 300ml vegetable stock
  • 200g smoked salmon
  • grated zest of ½ organic lemon
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation: Finely chop the onion and garlic, place in a large saucepan with the noodles, spinach, garlic, white wine, cream and vegetable soup and bring to a boil. After 6-7 minutes, add the salmon and let simmer for another 1-2 minutes. Serve it with lemon zest, salt and pepper.

5. Mexican

Delicioso! Just like in Mexico – but for a small budget.
Ingredients:

  • 250g penne
  • 1 can of kidney beans
  • 1 can of corn
  • 240ml of vegetable soup
  • 440g of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 1 onion
  • 100g of minced meat (alternative: vegan minced meat or tofu)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • chilli
  • paprika powder
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation: Finely chop the onion and fry in olive oil. Add the minced meat (alternatively vegan mince or tofu) and fry for another 2-3 minutes. Add the vegetable soup, tomato paste, tomatoes and spices and let simmer for 5-10 minutes. Now add the pasta and a cup of water. Just before the noodles are ready, add the corn and beans and bring it to a boil. Season according to your taste and serve!

6. Macaroni and Cheese

Absolute feel-good recipe. No matter if it’s exam stress, a heartbreak or just rainy day that’s bothering you. This recipe will instantly put you in a good mood.
Ingredients:

  • 200g macaroni
  • 100g cheddar cheese
  • 40g double cream cheese
  • 300ml vegetable soup
  • 200ml milk
  • 20g butter
  • spring onion
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation: Melt butter in a large saucepan, add milk and soup and bring it to a boil. Add the pasta to the boiling milk and soup mixture and cook until they are al dente. Then add cream cheese and ¾ of the cheddar and cook for another 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Season the pasta with salt and pepper and serve with the rest of the cheddar cheese and spring onions.

7. Curry

An all-time favorite for curry lovers.
Ingredients:

  • 250g pasta
  • 2 red peppers
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 tablespoon curry
  • 400ml coconut milk
  • 350ml vegetable soup
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation: Cut bell pepper, carrots and spring onions into small pieces. Put all ingredients into a large saucepan, bring to a boil and then let simmer on medium heat for another 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve it to your friends.

8. Chicken pot

This one pot chicken recipe is not only very healthy, but also incredibly delicious. Here you will find even more tips on nutrition for amateur athletes.
Ingredients:

  • 200g chicken filet
  • 400ml canned tomatoes
  • 200ml water
  • 150g bell peppers
  • 200g pasta
  • garlic
  • parsley
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation: Cut chicken, bell pepper, garlic and parsley into small pieces and bring to a boil with the water in a saucepan. Add pasta, paprika, spices and tomato puree and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until the pasta is soft. Season and you’re done!

9. Fancy ramen

For all those who are already bored with pre-made ramen, we have the fastest, easiest and most delicious recipe for homemade ramen.
Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp miso paste
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 lime
  • 1 tbsp rice syrup
  • 1 pkg rice noodle
  • 100g mushrooms
  • 1 pak choi
  • chili
  • spring onion

Preparation: Carefully fry garlic and ginger in olive oil and add 600 ml of water. Add soy sauce, miso paste, rice syrup and lime juice. After 5-10 minutes add the vegetables and cook until soft. Finally add the noodles to the soup for 2 minutes and serve with spring onions and chilli. For gourmets, we recommend a fried egg or hard boiled egg as a topping!
